We are Keith and Mary McGough and we will be your hosts at Danner House.
We have been very keen on opening a bed and breakfast for quite some time and have
been looking for the perfect house. Both being natives of the Niagara Region and
loving everything it has to offer, we concentrated our search here.
The house we were living in at the time is a lovely 1860's farmhouse. We enjoy
homes with a history - imagining who may have been born, lived, loved, or even died
there.
How incredibly wonderful to have finally found Danner House - a house with a real
past! Almost 200 years old and just as stately now as it must have been in 1805 when
Ulrich Strickler and his family made it their home. We marvel at the idea of its
involvement in momentous historical events and do not take for granted the
opportunity we have to become a part of its future.
We would like to share this gracious historical home with you and we will
endeavor to make your stay a memorable one.
